All proceeds of the sale of this album on bandcamp will be donated to Black Lives Matter Org.

For the longest time, I felt inspired to get involved in the racial injustices happening in America and the words just weren't coming to me. Until they did... and "This Is How We Were Taught To Pray" was written. I had this crazy idea to do a version complete with as many contributors as possible and I started thinking vocal contributions should be fairly simple. But one of the first contributors was Dan Milligan and he heard some other things... and in a matter of maybe an hour or so, he had sent me guitar and some vocal effects that were added to both the contributor track and the original because it added a completely different layer.

Over the next few weeks, I coordinated contributions and layered them in as well as listened to the various remixes that were in progress and in various stages.

All the work done and the way the community came together has made me incredibly proud of this work and the project. I'm not a major artist and I don't expect to hit crazy numbers, but anything that we can do to contribute to help eliminate systemic racism and better the country let's do it. now is the time.
