this track was initially unfinished when VoxLucis selected it as what she wanted to vocalize on. i had written the part that she used as the spoken word but used that and other inspiration to come up with the rest of the lyrics. after working on this song together and her initial contribution to Astronaut, i asked her to also contribute on The Siren and what also became the Siren (Reprise).
